Talk to a human
Something broken, something confusing, an idea, a question about your account — all of it goes to the same small team, and all of it gets read.
If you are signed in
Use Tell Karl — the lightbulb button in the corner of every screen. It is the fastest route by some distance: it goes straight onto the list we work from, and it brings the page you were on and the browser you were using with it, so nobody has to ask you to describe the problem.
Sign in and the button is there on every page.
By email, always
Use this if you do not have an account, cannot sign in, or would rather write properly. It is also the address for anything about your data — a copy of what we hold, or deleting your account.
What helps us help you
- The email address on your account, if you have one.
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
- If it is about a generated piece, its title — that is enough for us to find the run behind it.
How quickly we answer
We are a small team building this alongside other work. Every message is read by a person, and anything that stops you doing something is looked at first. We would rather be honest about that than print a number we cannot always hit.
Billing, cancelling and your data
- Cancelling does not need us. It is one click from your billing page, through Stripe's own portal.
- Deleting your account does need us, for now — there is no self-service delete yet, and the Privacy Policy describes exactly how it is done by hand.
- The Terms of Use cover what you own, what we keep a license to, and how charges work.
