Terms of Use

These are the terms you and Kidology, Inc. are agreeing to when you use KidsMinistry.ai. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
1. Who we are, and what this is
KidsMinistry.ai is a service of Kidology, Inc.. It generates children's ministry material — games, object lessons and Bible lessons — from a brief you write, and delivers it as a document you can print, edit and teach from.
By creating an account, or by using the service, you are agreeing to these terms. If you are using it on behalf of a church or organization, you are confirming you are allowed to agree on its behalf.
2. Your account
An account belongs to one person. There are no teams, no seats and no shared logins — if somebody else needs the service, they need their own account. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. This service is built for the adults who lead children's ministry, not for children.
3. What you own — and what we keep
This is the question people ask first, so it gets a plain answer and all three parts of it are said out loud — including the one that will surprise you.
What you make here is yours.
Print it, edit it, adapt it, translate it, put your church's name on it, email it to your volunteers, teach it every Sunday for a year. What you generate belongs to you and your ministry, with no restrictions, no extra fee and no asking us first. You may use it commercially — inside your church, at a camp, in a curriculum you sell. Cancelling does not take it away: what you made stays yours, and stays in your account.
And Kidology keeps a license to it too. By generating content here you also give Kidology, Inc. a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, adapt, publish and share what you generate — including making it available to other members of KidsMinistry.ai and Kidology. That is not a catch buried in a clause: it is how a library built by everybody gets to everybody, and it is what will let members draw on each other's work rather than only on ours.
And that license does not end when your account does. If you ask us to close your account we delete the account — your login, your name, your email address, your church profile and the branding on it. The pieces generated under it stay in KidsMinistry.ai. They remain visible to the people who run the service, and can still be approved or made public — but they stop being linked to you: closing the account cuts the connection between you and what was generated under it. We would rather you knew that before you signed up than after you asked to leave. Exactly what is removed and what remains is set out in the Privacy Policy.
All three are true at once. You do not lose anything by our holding a license, we do not become the owner of your work by holding one, and closing an account ends the account rather than the work.
One limit on our side that is worth stating: your church's private profile — its denomination, its tradition and your notes — is not content. It is covered by the Privacy Policy, it is not shared with other members, and it is deleted with the account.
What you write into a brief is yours to write, and by writing it you confirm you have the right to. Do not paste in somebody else's copyrighted curriculum and ask us to rework it.
4. Sharing, and whose name is on a shared piece
Members getting free access to what other members have generated is the reason the license above exists, and it is being built. None of it is switched on today: right now nothing you generate is visible to any other member. This is the model we have decided on, written down now so you can judge it before you sign up rather than the week it appears.
- A shared piece will arrive in the reader's branding, not yours. When another member is shown a piece generated on your account, it is to render with their church's name and logo. Your church's name does not travel with it. This is decided and not yet built — today every document carries the branding of the account that generated it, because today nothing is shared.
- A piece made public will carry Kidology's branding. Public means readable by anybody holding the link, with no account. There is no reader to take branding from, so it is stamped as Kidology's rather than as any church's.
- A member may keep a piece they have been shown, add it to their own account and adapt it from there, as though they had generated it.
- We can see everything, and we curate. The small number of people who run the service can see every piece generated on it, and may mark one as approved by Karl or make it public. That is an editorial judgement about a piece, not about you.
The limit we hold ourselves to: we will not present shared content as though your church wrote it for us. Sharing a lesson is not an endorsement by your church of anything, and your church is not named on a copy somebody else is reading.
5. What we own
The service itself — the software, the pipeline, the templates, the Kidology library it draws on, the names and the logos — belongs to Kidology, Inc.. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you, and nothing here gives you the right to resell the service itself or to use it to build a competing one.
6. This content is generated by AI, and you have to read it
Please review and adapt all generated content before use.
That line is on every document we produce, and it is not a formality. Two things about how this works make it matter more here than it would elsewhere:
- Scripture is quoted from the model's memory. The system holds no Bible text of its own, so a verse in a generated piece is an AI's recollection of that verse. Check it against a Bible before you teach it.
- The editor is another AI. When a piece arrives marked as still being finished, a machine judged it — not a person.
You are the teacher. What reaches the children is what you decided to teach, and the responsibility for that stays with you.
We do not promise that generated content is accurate, complete, theologically sound, age-appropriate or suitable for your group. We have built the service to make all of those more likely; none of them is guaranteed.
7. Using the service properly
Do not use KidsMinistry.ai to:
- produce anything intended to harm, frighten, groom or exploit a child;
- produce hateful, harassing, sexual or deliberately deceptive material;
- break the law, or somebody else's copyright;
- resell, scrape or automate access to the service, or work around the lightbulb limits;
- share an account, or attempt to reach another account's content.
We may suspend or close an account that does any of that. We would rather write to you first, and normally will.
8. Plans, payment and cancelling
Every figure below comes from the same place the billing screen reads, so the two cannot disagree. The full version, with your own numbers on it, is on your billing page.
- Volunteer — $18.00 a month, including 25 lightbulbs a month. One lightbulb makes one piece.
- Professional — $36.00 a month, including 50 lightbulbs a month. One lightbulb makes one piece.
- Spare Bulbs — 100 lightbulbs for $55.00, bought once, not a subscription.
Your plan is charged when you subscribe and on the same date each month until you cancel. Nothing is charged per piece. Changing plan takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata. Payment is taken by Stripe on Stripe's own pages — your card details never touch our servers.
Cancelling is yours to do, from the billing page, through Stripe's customer portal. You do not need to email anybody. Cancelling stops the renewal; your plan runs to the end of the month you have already paid for.
Monthly lightbulbs expire and do not roll over — they belong to the month you paid for. Spare Bulbs never expire while your account is open, and your monthly bulbs are always spent first, so the Spare Bulbs you bought are never quietly consumed by a month you had bulbs left in. Spare Bulbs stay on your account after you cancel, but generating a new piece needs an active plan.
Prices can change. If they do, we will tell you before it affects you, and a change never applies to a month you have already paid for.
9. The service will change, and may one day stop
This is a young product. Features will appear, change and occasionally be removed. We may change how generation works, which AI providers we use, or what a plan includes. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you notice and a way to take your content with you before we do.
10. What we are, and are not, responsible for
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, or that generation will always succeed, or that a document will always be to your taste.
To the extent the law allows, Kidology, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Ending it
You can stop using the service at any time, and cancel from the billing page. Deleting your account is not yet something you can do yourself: there is no button for it, and we are not going to say there is. You ask us, and we do it by hand.
Closing the account does not delete what was generated under it — see #3 above, and the Privacy Policy, which sets out item by item what goes and what stays — including that what stays stops being linked to you.
12. Governing law
This clause is deliberately unfinished. Kidology, Inc. is a United States company, and these terms will name the state whose law governs them once that has been decided with a lawyer. We would rather leave the gap visible than fill it with a guess about the one clause that decides where a disagreement gets settled.
13. Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the terms change, and change the date at the top. For anything that materially affects you, we will tell you rather than relying on you to re-read it.
